Third Encounter of Migrant Poets

To be held November 18th & 19th , 2010
In San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora; San Luis, Somerton and Yuma, Az


Poet Participation Guidelines

All migrant participants of any nationality or language are welcome to participate.

All participating poets must pre register for the event by:
§ Emailing a three (3) page sample of their literary work,
§ Their biography (not to exceed half a page)
§ A picture

The presentations can be done in English, Spanish, or in a native dialect (Translation not available).

The theme with which poets can participate will be: “From Independence to a Bicentennial: Poetry, Social Movements, and Migration.” Poets will have an average of 10 minutes to expose their work. Authors can participate by reading their literary work, or by presenting research work or electronic presentations. Other themes will also be considered.

Each participant will cover all costs related to traveling, food, and lodging. The organizing committee will provide transportation to and from the event, and some of the meals. Discounts for lodging will be available.
